Globetrottr Meets Mike in Williamsport

Mike Williamsport Pennsylvania

Welcome to Williamsport, Pennsylvania!

Welcome to Williamsport, Pennsylvania – home of our handsome Globetrottr Boy, Michael!

Williamsport is a charming 19th century lumber town nestled on the bank of the Susquehanna River surrounded by farms and forests. The residents are friendly and, while the city is not particularly gay (the closest gay bar is 50 miles away),  it is a great destination to enjoy nature. It is also a lesser known tourist destination. As long as you avoid the Little League World Series in August you will have the river, bike paths, and forests all to yourself.

Meet Mike

I met Mike on Scruff and he convinced me to come visit him in Williamsport. It turns out there are direct buses from New York City but I didn’t realize that so I ended up renting a car and driving the 200 miles through New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Once I got out of the city the drive was actually easy and quite scenic. I took a bunch of photos but I can’t show them to you because I lost my laptop on the New York subway! (That’s going to be a theme for quite a few of these posts, BTW).
Anyways, before going on the whirlwind tour of Williamsport I met Mike at his house to get to know him better. It turns out he’s an artist who’s big into comic books. Watch the video to see his drawings and hear why the X-Men is his favorite franchise.
